This time at life drawing I had the feeling, I needed a more cartoony, slightly exaggerated style to catch the model's beauty. It really suited her and it gave me time to draw one pose several times from different angles.

Bodies
In January I was very happy because of the figure drawing sessions I visited. I tried out my new water color crayons from caran d'ache, using them like pencils first. I actually wanted to see what happens when I add water, but then the drawings were so satisfying to me, that I didn't want to ruin them. The crayons have a very soft feeling when drawing, which works really well with lines as well as shading.

figure drawing
In the last few weeks I actually managed to visit figure drawing in Würzburg. It's so relaxing to just concentrate on the drawing. I have to draw more *__*

life___drawing
I went to a figure drawing evening class this week. It felt really good doing this after a long, long, way too long time. God, I missed it so much. I was excited the whole evening!
While drawing, my thougths were with my friends from animation school hamburg. What a great time we had there and all the things we've learned! I tried to recall everything Maksa and Leonid tought us. But now that Maksa and even Harald Siepermann have passed away way too young, there's always a sad undertone to the memory about the gorgeous time we all had there. Even if the time we shared with those people was quite short, they became our mentors, our idols, our friends and they helped us getting one step further towards our dreams. And therefore I am very grateful.
